Kasese Municipal Speaker Hon.Ukash Swaib Musenene adjourned council this afternoon after councilors reportedly disagreed about the expenditure of seven billion shillings spend on the construction of the Parameter wall, Rukidi and Portal roads.
The Money was surplus from Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development-USMID project.
The disagreement arose during discussion on the state of affairs for the Kasese Municipal Mayor His Worship Chance Kahindo who had highlighted about the expenditure of the surplus money to the honorable councilors, but in his reaction the Speaker Hon.Ukash the implementation of the capital projects was done by the town clerk without council approval. The councilors, including Hon.Robert Bwambale, Hon. Rabson Mupango and Hon.Salveri faulted Hon.Ukash for lack of procedure that allegedly led to council adjournment. Councilor’s speaking….
According to the Mayor, the erection of a Parameter wall was presented to council and the motion was anonymously passed by the councilors.
