Hon. Ukash Musenene Swaibu, the Kasese Municipal speaker has given seven days’ ultimatum to the Deputy Mayor Hon. Rabson Mupango to submit a report about thirty-six million shillings allocated for scholarship last year, for two civil servants.
Ukash, tasked Hon. Mupango, who is the leader of government business, secretary for finance, planning and administration to account for government money allegedly disbursed to sponsor the officials study a course in safety and Environment under USMID project.
Same Council, held at central division hall this afternoon also demanded an explanation from Hon. Mupango and Mr. Geoffrey Bamanyisa, the Municipal town clerk about the external recruitment of sixteen civil servants without gazette advert.
The seemingly disappointed Hon. Ukash adjourned council for seven days to allow the alleged officers come up with comprehensive report before council on Tuesday next week. Hon. Ukash speaking….
