The Kasese Municipal Secretary for Works and technical services, Hon. John Siriwayo says they were finalizing plans to re-arrest the suspects in the theft of Building materials and equipment at the Kasese Municipal headquarters’ construction site.
Hon. Siriwayo who did not tell this radio how successful they would be when the State Attorney had legally guided police for the closure of the file, looked disturbed by the fact that the file couldn’t be sanctioned with all the exhibits presented at the Kasese police.
He said they were planning the re arrest which to him would force a review of the case and legal guidance by the Resident State Attorney. Hon. Siriwayo speaking……
The Rwenzori East regional police Spokesperson, ASP Ismail Kawoo confirmed to this radio that the forces had been ordered for closure by the Resident State Attorney but that investigations would go on for more evidence. ASP Kawoo speaking……
The legal decision by the State Attorney seems to have rubbed the wrong way, the opposition FDC side with Mr. Jafali Kigutiha, the Kasese Municipal Central Division party boss threatening to call for the intervention of the Regional Director of Public Prosecution now that the exhibits were visible at the Kasese Division Police station.
