Mr. Henry Kabiri, the Kasese Assistant Resident District Commissioner, has called for mindset change that would see the implementation of laws on environmental conservation championed by the locals.
Mr. Kabiriri was responding to Mr. Dane Kahungu, a local resident of Kisagazi cell who was concerned that whereas good roads and buildings were being constructed in Kasese Municipality, government’s silence on plastic manufacture, was a disaster to the environment.

Addressing the local residents during the community meeting held at Uganda Martyrs Nyakasanga primary in Kasese municipality yesterday, Mr. Kabiriri was concerned that whereas there were laws on environmental conservation, the local community members want to be pushed for implementation.
He however registered positive results in the disposition of kavera mainly in Kasese Municipality for the good of the local population and nature as a whole. Mr. Kabiriri speaking1………
Earlier, Mr. Dane called for urgent interventions by the office of the Kasese Resident District Commissioner to save the Kasese Multi-purpose hall he alleged, was in a sorry state. END
