High Court at Kasese has adjourned to 16th June 2025 the hearing of the murder case of the late Badia Bwambale, who was reportedly beaten at a bar in Hima Town Council, Kasese District.

Court presided over by Hon. Justice Lawrence Tweyanze. Heard that in August 2022, the late Badia was attacked and beaten by Landaus Masereka while at a bar in Hima town council.
He was later rushed to St. Paul’s Hospital in Kasese Town, where he succumbed to his injuries after spending a month bedridden.
The court was informed that the prime suspect, Mr. Landaus Masereka, pleaded guilty to the charges and expressed remorse, thereby not wasting the court’s time.
The State Prosecutor, Counsel Oundo Godfrey, requested the court for an adjournment to enable the prosecution to bring additional witnesses to testify against the second suspect, Mr. Mbusa Katsaghali. The court granted the request, and the matter was adjourned to 16th June 2025.
The defense counsel, Mr. Geoffrey Chan MaserekaofMasereka Chan & Co. Advocates, expressed confidence, stating that the witnesses presented so far by the prosecution lacked substantive facts to implicate Mr. Mbusa in the murder.Mr. Chan speaking….
