Forum for Democratic Change party in Kasese district has embarked on what has been perceived to be harmonization meetings among intending political leaders on their party ticket ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after chairing the FDC District Retreat held at SK Gardens in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Mr. Ronald Kabuku, the district party chairman said the plan was among others to cause consensus among intending political leaders for party cohesion.
Mr. Kabuku later expressed pleasure that Mr. Jax Robert Balyebuga who had shown interest to contest for the district councilor representing central Division, has withdrawn in favor of Mr. Jolly Kahyana, the FDC Flag bearer for the area.
Mr. Kabuku also announced that Mr. Gad Kule and Ms Ruth Nyakato who had shown interest for the Nyamwamba Division local council three seat, have also withdrawn in favor of Bonex Kule, a famous artist in Kasese who the FDC flag bearer for the seat. Mr. Kabuku speaking..
