Mr. Ronald Kabuku, the Kasese district FDC chairperson has described as empty rumors reports that the Sept. 19th delegates’ conference was to discuss among others plans for sole candidatures aimed at sidelining particular intending party candidates from contesting in different districts.
He said the propaganda might be a hand work by some selfish political players intending to promote division than reconciling FDC party members from the current internal party bickering.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday, Mr. Kabuku said his party believes in democracy and that it would be unfortunate, unfair and too early for him as a leader to believe in speculations before the national delegates’ conference. Mr. Kabuku speaking1………..
He said the reports for no more primary elections in FDC remain a rumor unless the delegates’ conference decided over it through the Party constitution. Mr. Kabuku speaking2……..
Mr. Kabuku later announced that delegates from Kasese district would attend the two party’s divergent delegates’ conference scheduled for Sept. 19 and Oct. 6th for purposes of presenting the position and interests of Kasese. Mr. Kabuku speaking3…….
He called for calm among the FDC members in Kasese, saying want seems to be a fight in their party would in future translate into the party’s strength. END.
