Mr. Ronald Bwambale Kabuku, the chairperson Kasese District Forum for Democratic Change-FDC has partly attributed the poor performance of PLE 2024 in government aided Primary schools in Kasese Municipality, to arrests of head teachers on orders of Kasese Resident District Commissioner Lt.Joe Walunsimbi.
In 2023, the office of the RDC initiated a move of arresting school head teachers who could dare send learners outside class for failure by their parents to pay development fees as agreed in the Parents teachers Association –PTA meetings.
Among the head teachers previously arrested on the orders of the RDC, are Ms. Razia Pokopoko of Kirembe Primary School, Mr. Selevano Kiribyunza head teacher Railway, Mr. Erisa Muhindo Muthungwanda of Basecamp Primary and Remegio Thembo Ikwera of Kasese P.7 School.

Rev. Benjamin Bwambale, the former Head teacher of Kamaiba Primary school concurred with Kabuku, saying he escaped arrest three times on the orders of Kasese RDC.
The official release of Kasese district PLE results is expected on Friday next week, according to the district Education officer, Mr. Ernest Bwambale Thabugha. END
