Kasese District is to recruit One hundred Primary school teachers before December this year, the District Principal Human resource officer, Mr. Samson Bihanikire has said.
The recruitment will be handled by the district service commission since all primary schools are controlled by the local government.
The Government needs every class, no matter its size, to at least have a teacher allocated to it.
Recruitment of teachers is one of the Government key priorities, in promoting Education in the country.
Speaking at the celebration to mark the world teacher’s day at Mpondwe Primary School in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council, Bihanikire, said 37 care taker head teachers were confirmed last F/Y, while 28 will be promoted this financial year.
