Kasese District Council has downplayed the proposal by the District Boss, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi to have the chairman and two members of the District Public service commission step aside over allegations of corruption.
In his state of address held today at Kasese Youth Polytechnic, Mr. Muhindi suggested to council that the chairman public service commission, Mr. Laurence Turuganya, Ms. Rebecca Kabyanga and Mr. Joshua Miramagho, the secretary to Public service commission be fired pending investigations over allegations of Job sale in Kasese.
Mr. Muhindi assumed basing on the public outcry about alleged corruption in the public service commission, it was prudent for the three members to step aside.

In a Motion raised by Hon. Gad Mugisha, the District councilor Representing Kitswamba Sub County and other district Councilors anonymously refused the proposal by Muhindi to have the three public service commission officials step aside, quoting rules of procedure of the Local Government act, the members can only be fired after investigations by the probe committee appointed by the district council.
