    Kasese district health Officer has been directed to re- activate response team on Ebola virus

    Kasese district has twenty four hours to have re-activated the district Ebola Rapid Response Team to deal with current virus threat in the district.

    Addressing the District Disaster Management Committee at Kasese Booma grounds in Kasese Municipality yesterday (28th.September.2022), the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in charge of Bukonzo County, Lt. Maate Magwara directed the District Health Officer to re- activate the response team in preparation for any eventuality caused by Ebola virus.

    He also directed the same district health office to devise plans on how and where to establish an isolation center to accommodate suspected and confirmed Ebola clients. Lt. Magwara speaking………

    Lt. Magwara who called for vigilance and total preparedness against Ebola, asked the local population to act as guided by medical experts to get rid of the virus.

    Baylor Uganda and Medicins san frontiers were among development partners at the meeting. END.
