Kasese district has this time got two female subcounty chairpersons after Ms Hilder Businge Maate and Ruth Biira were declared chairpersons elect for Hima town council and Mpunga subcounty respectively.

Speaking to the press shortly after being declared the Hima town council chairperson elect, Ms Hilder whose father and NRM flag bearer died late last year commended the Hima people and the Kasese RDC for jointly supporting her candidature, pledging to work with all her electorates.
