A section of local leaders in Kasese Municipality, has faulted the Kasese District Disasters Committee for not doing enough in creating awareness about the repeated seasonal floods in Kasese.
Mr. Isaiah Thembo, the local council one chairman for Kitooro cell in Nyamwamba Division, told a leadership dialogue meeting at Margherita Training Institute in Nyamwamba Division that nothing much had been done by the disaster committee in mobilizing the local leaders and organizing community Barazas to sensitize the masses about disasters.

His counterpart, Mr. Moses Kathaba for Nyakasanga East, faulted the contractors for being uncountable before asking the Kasese District and Municipal council leaderships to make public all the monies that government had ever sent against disasters. Mr Kathaba speaking…….
Hon Saidi Kyamabedyabedya, the Division councilor representing Nyakasanga two parish, asked the affected residents to collaborate in identifying signs for likely disasters.be hopeful and corporate with community leaders for the disaster mitigation. END
