    Kasese Catholic diocese witness new transfers of parish priests

    The Ordinary Diocese of Kasese, Rt Rev. Francis Kibira Kambale has yesterday(08th.February.2022) made new transfers of priests within the diocesan Parishes.

    Representing the Ordinary of Kasese during Handover ceremony at the Bishops Hall in Kasese town, the diocesan vicar General, Msgr Landus Bwambale said the newly appointed have been asked to report to their respective new parishes before 15th Feb 2022. 

    Msgr Landus said the new changes have seen, Rev. Fr. Godfrey Sunday as the new Nsenyi Parish Priest from Katwe Parish replacing Rev. Fr. Modesto Kasenyangwe Masereka who had been appointed Curate Bukangara Parish, chaplain of the novitiate of the Little sisters and coordinator Holy Dove projects.

    Rev. Fr. Cosmas Asaba Musungu who was working as the Curate Kyalhumba Parish, has been appointed as the new Parish Priest of the same Parish replacing, Thatha Asasio Kamalha Buhaka who will be for the mini time residing at Nsenyi.

    Rev. Fr. Alex Musinguzi a teacher at St. John Minor Seminary has been appointed Katwe Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. Julius Bwambale Tsangamubiri has been appointed the Rector, St. Michael Kabuyiri Shrine.

    Others who been appointed curates include, Rev. Fr. Peter Basaliza Mubunga from Bukangara to Kitwamba Parish, Rev. Fr. Fedius Bwambale from Kyabikere to Bukangara, Rev. Fr. Vincent Bwambale from Kyalhumba to Kyabirike Parish, Rev. Fr. Joachim Kihembo appointed vice rector Kabuyiri shrine, Rev. Fr. Andrew Kato Katuramu from Bukangara to Kyalhumba.

    Rev. Fr. John Birungi of the apostle of Jesus has been appointed a chaplain St. Teresa Girls secondary school, residing at Nsenyi with a special pastoral care for Kacungiro Catholic church Zone the duty he will be doing together with Rev. Fr. Paul Ssemakula under Nsenyi Parish, meanwhile Rev. Fr. Francis Asiimwe has been given bed rest at Mubuku Mission Centre. More

    Msgr Landaus encouraged Christians to cooperate and work closely with the new leadership in the parishes for the spiritual, social and economic development. Mgr. Landaus confirming transfers ….

    The Kasese diocesan Head of Laity, Mr. Leo Thembo said the lay faithful in the diocese are very willing and ready to work with any pastor of God, asking the new appointed priests to begin grass root evangelization and share their challenges with retired parish priests .

    In their acceptance statements, the new Parish Priests, Fr. Alex Musinguzi, Fr. Godfrey Sunday and Fr. Cosmas Asaba who called for the guidance of the Holy Spirit quoted the biblical verse form Jeremiah  chapter 1:4-10.
