The Kasese district local council five chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi has asked Bwera General Hospital Management to formalize the justifications to the Ministry of health for the facility to be upgraded to a referral hospital.
Mr. Muhindi, a medic turned politician said Bwera hospital was centrally located to serve Rubirizi and Bunyangabu districts, as well as the DR Congo, an East African member State that benefits from the facility among other areas.
He said whereas more hospitals, including Rukoki were in the pipeline, the facility leadership should formalize her request that the district will make follow up about until its honored. Mr. Muhindi speaking…….

The Kasese district chief administrative officer Mr. Erius Byamungu however said whereas he would fully support the ideal for Bwera referral hospital, rehabilitating the utilities and the road infrastructure leading to the health facility should be prioritized for the safety of the neighboring community, staff and the patients.
