Kasese Baptist Association has donated seedlings and farm tools to the mudslide victims in Kithoma –Kanyatsi town council in Kasese district.
It is reported that towards the end of last year, over 40 households in the area are said to have lost crops and their buildings destroyed by mudslides caused by heavy down pour.
Mr. Joshua Kisenja, the Coordinator for the Baptist Association said the donation that was conveyed through Kasese Central Baptist Church was basically to empower the beneficiaries against food insecurity and malnutrition among their children after the devastating mudslides and floods that destroyed their food crops, houses and house property among others. Mr. Isaiah Thembo, one of the initiators of the donation asked the beneficiaries to promote a culture of giving those in need as a gesture of love and saving lives. Mr. Isaiah speaking……
Mr. Milton Kule Mbwarara, the town council local council three chairperson said they had made a report for assistance to the office of the Prime Minister before asking for more support from Good Samaritans to the aid of the affected people. Mr. Mbwarara speaking…….
