Rwenzori Royal Institute and Mohama Tours Limited in partnership with Kasese Municipal council and Wetlands Management Department through Ministry of water and Environment have agreed to restore Kasesa-Sauriyako wetland into ecotourism site.
Addressing a stakeholders meeting held at Sauriyako this afternoon, Mr. Samson Masereka, the general secretary Rwenzori Royal Institute and Mohama tours limited-“Rwemo” said the aim of the partnership is to promote conservation of wetlands in order to sustain its ecological and social economic values that could in future provide employment and local revenue to the Municipality.
He cautioned the public surrounding sauriyako wetland against destroying Bamboo trees but conserve them for prompting tourism.
