The Government has officially launched the construction works of Kamulikwizi Water Channel in Saluti A, Kanyangeya Ward, Nyamwamba Division, in Kasese Municipality.
The project, worth 100 million shillings, were launched yesterday by the Kasese Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, who called on community members to supervise the works to ensure that the funds are properly utilized.
Addressing residents at the site, the RDC reported that the project will also connect Saluti A and Saluti B cells, easing movement between the two areas.
Under the project, the community access road starting from Delta Petrol Station in Saluti A to Twekyo Petrol Station in Saluti B will be graveled.
In his remarks, the Kasese Municipal Mayor, Chance Kahindo, described the construction works as timely and revealed that the project will be implemented by the Kasese Municipal Engineering Department.

Mr. Pimako Kasereka, the Local Council III Chairperson, and Hon. Wilson Bwambale Ntama, the area councilor representing Kanyangeya Ward to Kasese Municipal Council, warmly welcomed the project.
