Kampala Metropolitan detectives are investigating circumstances under which a Boda-boda rider butchered his wife and their two children yesterday morning.

Deputy Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, said the man identified as Yasin allegedly killed Carol Nambooze before turning to their children.

The suspect who is still at large operates from Kireka Boda-boda stage.

He is an adult aged 46 years and was living with the same family he killed at Banda B zone, Nakawa Division in Kampala.

Yasin reportedly stacked the bodies in sacks after the incident.

Nevertheless, he abandoned the victims in the house and took off.

Owoyesigyire added that the scene of crime officers visited the murder scene and collected some exhibits that could be vital in investigations.

Nambooze and her children’s bodies were taken to the city mortuary for a Postmortem.

Police teams have since launched a hunt for the suspect.

The 2019 crime report released recently showed an increase in murders in Kampala Metropolitan area.
