Sheik Khabu Lule, the Khadi for Kabale, Rubanda and Rukiga districts has raised discontent against female Muslims who abandon their families and travel abroad for work.
Sheikh Lule who expressed concern yesterday while preaching during Eid-adha celebrations at Masjid Jaamia Kirigime in Kabale district, says that despite Allah creating a man with energy to work and become a bread winner of a family, the current trend has changed to the extent of men allowing their wives to travel abroad to work in order to earn a living. Mt. Godrefy Nyakahuma, the Kabale Resident District Commissioner admitted that even in Kabale district, cases of killings resulting from land wrangles and grabbing as well as redundancy of young generations are often registered.
He asked religious leaders to cooperate with the government in sensitizing the public on how to reverse the trend.

Fatih Turan, a Turkish national, boosted the celebrations in Kabale, Rubanda, Rukiga and Kisoro districts with 216 cows and 100 goats for slaughtering. END
