Journalists in Rwenzori sub- Region have been urged to focus more on reporting about development issues in order to benefit the country.
SP. Luke Mbusa, the Rwenzori East Region Community liaison officer, told our reporter yesterday in Kasese town, that much as Journalists reporting should be able to uproot corruption, hold those in power to account, encourage democratic participation, but they should do this with fairness and impartiality, mostly at a critical period when the country is holding general elections.
He urged proprietors of Media houses to provide protective gears to field journalists while covering election stories that sometimes are associated with unlawlessness. SP. Mbusa speaking….
