The construction of the Faculty of Engineering at the Islamic University in Uganda’s main campus is complete.
The contractor VCon Construction Company Limited officially handed over the 13.5 million US Dollar project, which includes a five-block building and the Males hostel, which will be occupied by 520 students.
Islamic University in Uganda contracted Vcon Construction Company Limited in August 2023 to undertake construction of the faculty of Engineering at the main campus in Mbale city, a project funded by the Islamic Development Bank.
The facility will also be a hub for research facilities and collaborative spaces, all crafted to provide an optimal learning environment for professional engineers, the University Rector, Professor Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda said. END.
