The Ministry of Health is allegedly investigating reports that COVID-19 negative results were declared as positive by lab technicians at Makerere University Hospital.
Speaking during the yesterday`s budget address, President Yoweri Museveni asked the health ministry to clarify on the matter that would see Uganda`s number of 697 cases revised.
Dr Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary at the health ministry had said that they are investigating to find out what could have gone wrong.
In his address earlier, President Museveni had said the commissioners who recently left Uganda Revenue Authority were sacked because of corruption, before referring to them as a crowd that was stealing instead of serving their people.

The toughly sounding Mr. Museveni later reiterated the need for Ugandans to police themselves in a bid to avoid the spread of coronavirus than for government to continue begging them to live after what he and his health experts have done to sensitise the country about the preventive measures against the spread of the virus that has so far infected 679 Ugandans but with 161 recoveries.
