Mr. Ronald Kato, the Executive Director for Kasese Youth Link for development calls for joint efforts in engaging school going children if they were to remain focused during the holidays.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio this afternoon, Mr. Kato who asked parents to interest their children in hands on skills during, proposes that the 3 weeks of holidays for primary and post primary schools learners, should be spent objectively through the interventions of parents, the public, faith based and local leaders. Hon. Teddy Kyakimwa Kasambangene, the Kasese Municipal secretary Production and Marketing, called for thorough monitoring of learners before asking local leaders to keep eyes open against the loitering youth turned thieves she said were a threat to development.
According to Ministry of education and sports, schools turn up for third team on 16th September to 6th December 2024. END
