    Integrate classroom academic work with hands on skills

    The Kasese Municipal Principal Education officer, Mr. Seith Ahebwa calls for an inclusion for hands on skills without which, many learners leaving private schools may be less relevant to the job market in future.

    He said modern teaching approaches currently require learners to integrate classroom academic work with hands on skills to match with the current market demands.

    Mr. Seth who was the Chief Guest at the 5th, graduation ceremony for top class at Margherita Demonstration primary school in Kasese municipality over the weekend, was quick to assert that cleaving a learner only to academics mainly to pass examinations and not acquisition of knowledge, deprives the child from practical participation that is currently required by the modern education system in Uganda and beyond.     The school head teacher, Mr. Nickson Marahi called in parents and guardians to clear their children’s school fees and also provide for other scholastic requirements than Christmas luxuries uxuries to ease the teaching and learning processes.
