Jubilations by NRM members celebrating the nomination of Mr. Erifaz Muhindi for the local council five seat come 2026 general elections, was cut short at Rwenzori Square following reports that the candidate may not show up.
The situation was saved by Mr. Selevano Mulhondi, the Kasese Municipal MRM chairman and a political mobilizer for Mr. Muhindi who said the nomination of the candidate had delayed but ongoing.
Mr. Mulhondi however said the candidate was concerned that his nomination will be late this evening and that it was not good to keep his electorates who could otherwise engage in other responsibilities as they wait for more information over the media. Mr. Mulhondi speaking……
Mr. Joshua Katunda, the newly appointed Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner, called for joint efforts for peaceful elections, adding that he was posted in Kasese as a partner in the development of the district. Mr. Katunda speaking……
