Cases of Incest still occur in Munkunyu one village in Kasese District, Ms. Samali Ithungu, the area local council one Chairperson has revealed.
She largely blamed the vice to domestic violence, belief in witchcraft, being uncultured and irreligious.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday, Ms. Samali who described incest as an abomination, called for the intervention of child rights defenders for the protection of young girls whose fathers have continued to abuse them.
Ms. Samali who asked mothers to open up against selfish husbands abusing their daughters, asked the suspects to repent from what she described as beastly behavior and act in a manner that gives them respect before God and the community. Ms. Samali speaking1….
She later warned young ladies against alcoholism and living recklessly before asking parents to do all it takes to provide for their daughters’ needs so as not to be diverted by selfish men. Ms. Samali speaking…..
