By Gladys Kansiime,
Women in Kasese District have been encouraged to always observe their rights while executing their duties at their various workplaces.
The remarks were made yesterday by Mr. David Mawege, the National Coordinator on Social Protection and Decent Work at the International Labour Organization, during the closure of a two-day Kasese Women in Leadershipworkshop held at Rwenzori International Hotel in Kasese Town.
According to Mr. Mawege, women are able to lead more dignified lives in the world of work, and he urged them to always be aware of and observe their rights while carrying out their responsibilities. Mr. Mawege speaks..
Ms. Jovia Kabugho, the Coordinator for Alliance Children and Youth Uganda, noted that the training was timely, helping them understand their rights at the workplace and how to respond when those rights are violated.
