Hard work, discipline and focus are key pillars to excellent academic performance, Mr. Enos Nyabutundu, an educationist in Kasese has said.
In his speech at the at the closure of a three days’ career guidance gathering to the learners of Ihandiro subcounty at Kibirigha playground over the weekend, Mr. Enos Nyabutundu, the Political Assistant to Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the State Minister for National Guidance said whereas some learners were clever in class, indiscipline, laziness and failure to have focus frustrate their education.
Mr. Nyabutundu who represented the Minister as the Guest of Honor also asked parents to monitor their children and peers for purposes of shaping their discipline, as well calling for the consciousness of young girls who are vulnerable to misguidance by un suspected and selfish men. Mr. Abel Liminya, the chairperson local council three for Ihandiro subcounty said the weekend gathering of learners brought on board other activities like sports, voluntary testing of Hepatitis B, HIV and AIDS, as well as vaccination mainly to bring students together and guaranteeing their health.
