Ms. Rehema Aryema, the chairperson of the Internally Displaced People’s Camp in Muhokya town council in Kasese district has called for coordinated and expedited plans to have the camp members permanently settled.
Ms. Rehema said they were almost losing hope over the contradicting statements by political leaders in Kasese about the purported recent land procurement by the Office of the Prime Minister.
According to Rehema, other than the un materializing pledge about a year ago by Hon. Ferigo Kambale to have them settled soon, the IDPs were getting threats from the alleged squatters on the land said to have been procured to them. Ms. Rehema speaking………
To the Kasese district FDC chair, Mr. Saulo Maate, the situation in the camp was miserable and un desirable for settlement.
Mr. Saulo later asked the government not to play around the psychology of the affected flood victims in the district but to fulfill their pledge for the good the comunity. Mr. Saulo speaking….
He however asked the victims in the camp in Muhokya to be focused and prayerful over the matter he described as delicate. END
