This is after some schools in different parts of Kasese district have remained congested housing flood victims even after schools were officially reopened for second term on Monday this week.
The government has been asked to allocate adequate resources towards emergency response efforts in the country.
Mr. Juvenile Muke, the chairperson local council three for Kyondo sub-county in Kasese district, says children are highly impacted by disasters such as floods, since they are vulnerable and dependent on others for survival and emotional support.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio shortly after the Parliamentary committee on Disaster visited Buhunga IDP camp in Kyondo sub-county yesterday, Muke asked government and partners in development to establish temporary Pit-latrines and clean piped water to accommodate the over 165 households encamped at Buhunga church of Uganda.
