Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese District local council five chairperson has reaffirmed plans to have the Internally Displaced Flood victims either go back home or join their relatives in safer areas.
According to Mr. Muhindi, the plans to dissolve the temporary camps in the district including that at Kasangalii SDA and Nyakanengo primary schools, and Kasangali health center II, were as a result of the declining support from individuals, government and her development partners.
Mr. Muhindi who said about fifty households in Bwesumbu subcounty only should consider reuniting with their relatives due to the unbearable living conditions in the temporary camps, said they were engaging government for a possibility of settling disaster victims whose pieces of land were completely covered or swept away.
