Mr. Zepher Mubingwa, the Kasese Deputy RDC in charge of Busongora County has given a six-month ultimatum to the Board of Ibanda- Bugoye water supply and sanitation scheme to handover office to Ibanda-Kyanya town council authorities.
Mubingwa said the new board will be elected by the local community who are the water users in Ibanda-Kyanya town council, Maliba sub-county, Bugoye and Maliba town council.
Mubingwa also directed the Board led by Mr. Mukongo B.Moses to organize a meeting with the town council authorities within two days to iron out differences between the town council and the board. Mr. Mubingwa one speaking…
Mubingwa, also directed the town clerk Mr. Abubakar Asuman to bring on board representatives of benefiting sub-counties and town council to help them draft a constitution and by-laws that will govern the water scheme.
In a community meeting held yesterday at Ibanda catholic Parish and chaired by Mubingwa, urged the local community to pay arrears that would help the technical team and board to make water maintance.
