Human Rights Network for Journalists in Uganda has condemned the ban on Nation Media Group journalists from covering Parliament’s activities.
Early this week, security at Parliament blocked and ordered journalists attached to Daily Monitor and NTV from accessing Parliament under unclear circumstances.
The HRNJ deputy director, Moses Magoola, said that the act by Parliament to suspend Nation Media Group Journalists from accessing the August House violates the law.
Magoola made the remarks today while presiding over the closure of a four-day training of Journalists on digital security in Mbale city.

He also pledged that HRNJ shall continue to provide legal capacity building and advocacy on issues that arise in the country in relation to press freedom. END
