The Kasese Municipal Deputy Mayor, Hon. Rabison Mupangu has called for total cooperation by the local community as construction works begin soon to open the Basecamp-Kamulikwizi water drainable channel.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio shortly after the inspection tour of the channel by both Political and technical staff of Kasese Municipality, Hon. Mupangu said the channel opening and construction works do not cater for any compensation as some local residents think.
He said whereas a number of local developers had encroached on the channel, cooperation was required by the victims to enable the engineers use the little available space to direct the deadly seasonal water to save lives. Hon. Mupangu speaking1………
