Mr. Gideon Thembo Mujungu, the MP elect for Busongora South constituency has filed his defence in Fortportal high court against the election petition by the incumbent MP. Hon Jackson Mbaju Kthika who challenges the former`s election to the seat.
Hon. Mbaju Kathika on 16th. March this year, petitioned Mujungu in the High court in For-portal asking court to overturn Mr. Mujungu’s victory over irregularities that include bribery, forgeries and intimidation among other grounds.
Addressing the press at white house gardens in Kasese town, Mr. Mujungu said his defence is basically to show court that the petitioner`s grounds were baseless and should be dismissed.

Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika FDC lost to his closest rival Mr. Mujungu with a difference of seventy eight votes in a political battle that saw ten candidate contest for the position. END
