The Member of Parliament for Busongora South, Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika has declared his independent candidature in the forthcoming general election.
During his today`s vetting analysis meeting at Club thirties in Kasese town, Hon. Kathika who sounded confident to retain his position said that his independent candidature in the general elections is forced by lies he things to correct before his electorates after losing by thirteen votes to Mr. Alozious Kighema in yesterday`s FDC primary polls.

Hon. Jackson Kathika who later availed as clock as his campaign symbol garnered 245 votes against 258 votes by his competitor, Mr. Kighema, the current FDC flag bearer for the position.
Meanwhile, the Kasese FDC electoral Commission chairperson, Mr. Charles Kambere declared Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo as the district chairman FDC`s flag bearer, Hon. William Nzoghu for Busongora north constituency, Florence Kabugho as district woman MP and Hon. Tony Muhindo who passed un opposed. END
