The dust caused by the utterances in support of the teachers` Industrial Action by Hon. Godfrey Katusabe Atkinsis not to rest soon after the Kasese district chairman, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi described the political statements by the Bukonzo County West MP as misplaced.
At the burial of Jeiles Kahika, the former Kasese district Chief Administrative Officer in Kisinga, Hon. Atkins Godfrey Katusabe, the Member of Parliament representing Bukonzo West constituency in Kasese district is quoted to have asked teachers to keep on strike until government responds to their salary increment concerns.
Mr. Muhindi wonders why the Legislator had never used his position to call off the ever increasing salaries and allowances of Members of Parliament to cater for the teachers` remunerations that fueling a situation that directly punishing the common poor.
