‘Silhuhwere’, a slogan popularized by Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika, the former Busongora County South legislator in Kasese District, is currently a registered company limited by guarantee, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
The slogan,’ Silhuhwere’, was popularized during the political wars and legal battles between Hon. Kathika and his successor, Hon. Gideon Mujungu Thembo.
Addressing the media in Kasese Town yesterday, the foundation’s chairman Board of Directors, Mr. Simon Kiheta said the popular slogan by Hon. Kathika will be turned into a platform to promote education, the savings culture and popularize plans against domestic violence and early marriages among locals. Mr. Kiheta speaking………
When asked whether the public will not politicize it, the Silhuhwere Foundation’s Managing Director, Hon. Kathika said the organization was indiscriminative in membership and none political but development oriented. Hon. Katika speaking………
Hon. Kathika said Silhuhwere, literally meaning, the ‘struggle continues’, was relevant to the constituency he said requires a lot of development interventions. END.
