The sculpture of the Rwenzururu Kingdom first King, the Late Isaya Mukirania has finally arrived in the Kingdom, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.
During her political campaign that later ushered her into the highly contested Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament seat in 2021, Hon. Florence Kabugho Sekalombi among other things, pledged to install at Kasese main Roundabout, the portrait of the first Rwenzururu King that caused what many called political apprehension among her political competitors.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio later today, Hon. Florence commended the Rwenzururu Kingdom leadership, the Royal family and the Kingdom subjects whose support enabled the project she said was costly but worth it.
The seemingly relieved Hon. Florence later told our reporter that Kasese Municipality leadership in collaboration with the Kingdom was finalizing processes with Uganda National Roads Authority for the installment of the portrait she said will sooner or later be handed over officially to the Kingdom.
