Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament Hon.Florence Kabugho has donated text books to Primary and secondary schools in the district.
The donation of over three thousand text books both for sciences and Arts in the new curriculum was to improve academic standards in private church founded schools in Kasese district.
The text books were handed over last evening to Diocesan Education secretaries, including, Diocese of Kasese, South Rwenzori Diocese and seventh day Adventist church.
Hon.Florence noted government has been distributing new curriculum text books to government aided schools leaving private schools, that why she thought it wise to use the faith based institution to identify private schools on church foundation to also benefit.

Rev.Fr.Joseph Mbusa, the Education secretary Diocese of Kasese, commended Hon.Florence for the timely intervention he believes will improve education standards in Kasese district.

The Diocesan Secretary for South Rwenzori Diocese, Ven.Nelson Walina after receiving the text books, said the diocese is promoting education and evangelism aimed for the sustainability of the church.Ven.Walina speaking….
Pr.Erisa Rukara, the Diocesan secretary Seventh Day Adventist church, described the donation as a boost to the new curriculum that had been frustrated by financial challenges in some private schools.
