The local residents of Mbunga subcounty in Kasese district have given a three days ultimatum to the Kasese Municipal Member of Parliament, Hon. Ferigo Kambale to fulfill his pledge to lead a peaceful demonstration, give reasons for his current position or they exclude him from their plans about the same.
Hon. Ferigo maintained in our broadcasts yesterday that the peaceful demonstration against the government move to withdraw her medical personnel from Kilembe Mines Hospital like in other private health facilities all over the country, has been taken by events after government temporarily suspected her plan.
Ms Ruth Biira, the Chairwoman local council three for Mbunga subcounty said an emergency meeting convened shortly after the press reports attributed to Hon. Ferigo, decided to proceed with the peaceful demonstration should the legislator fail to give by Sunday satisfactory information from the meetings he has been holding with different stakeholders.
According to Ms Ruth, the peaceful demonstration that was to be accompanied by a petition contains among others, plans for the construction of Kilembe mines Hospital, maintaining the original status quo at the facility, demands for the rehabilitation of the Kasese-Kilembe road and the need for a government aided secondary school in Mbunga subcounty that Hon. Ferigo has to respond to. Ms Ruth speaking……..
