At least one hundred homes are reported to have been damaged and crops swept away in Kahokya sub-county in Kasese district by devastating stormy rains yesterday.
The area ridge leader like other local residents, Mzee Lincoln Kamaghando confirmed that, Nyaruzagati and Kathoma were the badly affested villages, expressing concerns that the same sub-counties of Kitabu and Kahokya were recently hit by hot weather and hailstones last week.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Kasese District Chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi who sympathized with affected people revealed that Prime Minister of Uganda had earlier this week met in Kampala the legislators from Kasese for a way forward about the camp. END
