    His worship Kabyanga on importance of schools to students.

    The mayor for Kasese municipality His worship Godefry Kabyanga has said proprietors of schools have an important role to play in protecting and supervising finalists and candidates that are expected to report back to school on January 18 this month.

    Speaking to our reporter yesterday at his offices in Kasese town, Kabyanga said the challenges brought about by COVID-19 means board members and directors have key roles in ensuring the survival and sustainability of their organisations.

    He appealed to his supporters to balance politics and work during this period now that children need school fees to take them back to school.

    Kabyanga said there was a need for serious leaders in companies that can take them out of the crisis created by COVID-19.

    He explained that good corporate governance is about delivering priorities, behaving with integrity, acting in the public interest and achieving objectives.

    Meanwhile, the Ugandan Ambassador to DRC, Mr. James Mbahimba has asked electorates in Busongora County north to task the area MP Hon.Wiliam Musabe Nzoghu to explain the increasing high power tariffs.

    Addressing residents of Ibanda-Kyanya town council during door to door mobilization for NRM party, Mbahimba said it was a duty of legislators to regulate power tariffs through parliamentary plenary. Mbahimba on tariffs;.
