The heavy security deployment in Kasese district is for the good of the local population, Mr. Zepher Mubingwa, the Kasese district Deputy Resident District commissioner for Busongora County has said.
In Kasese district especially in the Municipality and most trading centers, the alleged security deployment here has taken most of the discussions by minor isolated groups, with most government critics speculating that the officers could have deployed to assist the ruling NRM party get through tomorrow Busongora South by elections.
In an interview with Kasese guide radio yesterday, Mr. Mubingwa said the security deployment is in conformity with the constitution of Uganda that requires free, fair and peaceful elections in the country.
