Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds has allegedly destroyed several properties this afternoon in Kasese district.
At least ten houses were blown off in Kibiri-Buduka trading centre in Muhokya sub-County including Kibiri Roman Catholic Church, Mr.Alex Muruga, our correspondent in the area has confirmed.

At Muhokya Internally Displaced Peoples camp in Muhokya town council, most semi-permanent structures are reported to have fallen down, the local council three chairperson, Mr. Guma Robert has said.
Mr.Guma revealed that the effected IDP, s have temporarily occupied the sub-county council hall for a night as they wait for the intervention of Kasese District Disaster Committee tomorrow.

Meanwhile, at Green belt Primary school in Kasese Municipality, two classroom blocks were blown off living four pupils injured and currently admitted at Mt. St. Marys Hospital in Kasese town.
The school proprietor, Mr. Joseph Kule Muranga confirmed the information this evening but said the learners are out of danger.
