    Heavy rains destroys over ten houses in Muhokya T/C

    Over ten houses are said to have been destroyed by heavy rains at Kahendero landing site in Kahendero Ward in Muhokya town council in Kasese district.

    Mr. Alube Ajuma, the area local council one Chairperson who called for support to the affected families, confirmed that the windy rains on Saturday night had swept away roofs, brought down a number of houses, killed some domestic animals and birds. Mr. Alube speaking………

    Mr. Wesley Kiiza Rumanyika whose five children sustained injuries during the incident, appreciated the local leaders, UPDF and police for their interventions he described as timely to save lives despite some challenges. Mr. Kiiza on disasters……

    To Ms. Daphine Akankwasa and others whose domestic animals were greatly affected, it seemed a calm evening before the weather changed into heavy rains and wind that forced many into prayers they believe were heard by God despite the damage. Ms. Daphine and others……

    A 50 year old woman Ms. Grace Kabona who had been left homeless, believes it’s by God’s mercies that they survived. END.
