Kasese Divisional Police is holding the head teacher Kasese Primary school in Kasese Municipality on allegation of sending children back home for school dues.
Mr. Remegio Ikwera Thembo was arrested this morning on orders of the Kasese Resident District Commissioner Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, after one pupil reported to his office that Mr. Ikwera had separated learners into two classrooms, teaching only those that had remitted school dues.
Lt. Walunsimbi, said Ikwera,s action was against the presidential directive, which allows free education to children under Universal Primary Education-UPE and Universal Secondary Education-USE on government grant aided schools. Lt. Walusimbi on Ikwera….
Walunsimbi asked police to arraign Ikwera in courts of law so that he can act as an example in Kasese Municipality.
A minor from Kasese Primary School whose name is withheld testified to our reporter that they have been allegedly un attended to by teachers.

Mr.Zedekia Kayiri, the Assistant Senior Town clerk Kasese Municipality urged parents in Government aided schools to fulfil their PTA resolution of paying remedial for their children.
