A primary school head teacher in Kasese Municipality has been arrested for unlawfully soliciting for money from parents.
Mr. Erisa Muhindo Mutungwanda, the head teacher Basecamp Primary School was arrested after he reportedly sent pupils home after failing to pay school dues.
Mr. Erisa’s arrest was sanctioned by the Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi after he met school going children under the governments Universal Primary Education program being sent back home this morning over school dues. Lt. Walunsimbi on arrest…
Lt. Walunsimbi said Mr. Erisa contravened with the presidential directive that doesn’t allow children under UPE program to pay fees or being chased from school. By press time, the head teacher was being held at Kasese Divisional Police. END.
