The Kasese Municipal Principal Education Officer, Mr. Seth Ahebwa has called for the promotion of hands on skills among learners if they were to be relevant to the job market in Uganda and beyond.
He also reminded parents and guardians that teachers cannot teach all that their children need thus, asking them to equally extent their positive parental hand to guiding learners, most of whom area at home for their holidays.
Addressing education stakeholders, most of them parents, staff and learners of Trusted Care Junior School in Kasese Municipality over the weekend, Mr. Seth warned school proprietors against selfish competitive teaching but benchmarking, copying a leaf and sharing ideas aimed at imparting skills to learners through guiding their consciousness for a better future.
